Picasa is a free photo management and sharing application. You can erase pictures from Picasa by deleting them from your computer.
Picasa can be disabled on Android by going to the Settings menu and selecting “Photos”. There, you will see a list of all of your photos and videos. Beneath each photo or video, you will see a “Picasa” option. Tap on that option and select “Disable”.

If you want to move all of your photos from Picasa to Google Photos, you can use the Google Photos migration tool. This will import all of your photos into Google Photos, and it will also create a new album for all of your photos in Google Photos.
Picasa is currently available as a standalone product and as part of Google Photos. We don’t have any announcements to make about Picasa at this time.
There are a few alternatives to Picasa available. Some popular ones include Google Photos, Apple Photos, and Flickr.
To delete an album in Gallery, open the album and tap the three lines in the top left corner. Then tap “Delete Album.
Picasa stores its database on Google’s servers.
Picasa is photo management and sharing application that was discontinued in May of 2016. If you have Picasa albums that are older than May 2016, they are stored on your computer in the Picasa folder.
